Chelsea's Interview Debut Feb 10, 2003Chelsea interviewed Jake Gyllenhaal for Interview magazine. Interview magazine is touted as "On The Cutting Edge Of Pop Culture". I read one about a year ago, but plan on checking out Chelsea's interview this week. People magazine claims the interview between these two old pals is not that great, but hey, what does People know? There is an interesting tidbit on the interview... some people are reading into Chelsea's statements to disect her mom's personality. Far fetched, but humorous: check out the link in the pervious sentence.
Chelsea to Consult Feb 3, 2003Straight from pagesix.com: SHE doesn't graduate from Oxford until the spring, but Chelsea Clinton may have already lined up a job in New York. The former first daughter has been offered a position with McKinney, the powerhouse consulting firm. "I know she had an interview and got a good offer," a pal of Chelsea's tells New York magazine. Those for it claim global business markets bring wealth and work to other nations. Anti-globalization protesters contend that the WEF and WTO models promote unregulated business that trash the environment and shield internation businesses from laws in other contries. The sexy Mexican movie "Y Tu Mama Tambien" makes a
great date flick. Just ask Chelsea Clinton and her
boyfriend, Ian Klaus. They checked out the film the
other night in an Oxford theater. After the show was
over, they were spotted in deep canoodle.
But the 22-year-old Oxford student hasn't neglected
her intellectual pursuits. Chelsea recently wrote the
afterword to "The Other Parent: The Inside Story of
the Media's Effect on Our Children," a book by one of
her Stanford professors, James P. Steyer. Clinton's
two-page afterword explains the research she compiled
for Steyer and also reveals how involved her parents
were in her childhood TV viewing.
"I realized that it was not the constraints my parents
had placed on my media consumption that enabled me to
understand that what I was watching was not real and
not reality," writes Clinton, "but the fact that they
often watched with me and talked to me about it... my
parents had practiced parental media literacy with
me."

DOWN-TO-EARTH CHELSEA called in person earlier Saturday to make a reservation in her own name. The Chelsea party, which consisted of two other young couples, came in at 9:30, avoiding the dinner rush. Everyone dressed casually, but that's all relative -- stunning Chelsea wore black pants and a black off-the-shoulder top with conservative makeup. Her hair was up in a bun. Ian's look was described as "a pseudo-professor/intellectual thing," with a corduroy-type shirt left untucked. With his curls he "looks really adorable." Chelsea and Ian looked "very smitten." "They were digging each other's action," said manager Lisa Giglio. Of the wait staff, they weren't demanding and were "absolutely polite" to all. Indeed, everyone seems to like Chelsea. The globetrotting former first daughter was recently spotted on vacation in the Dominican Republic with boyfriend Ian Klaus. Clinton and Klaus, both 22 and Oxford students, have seemed to be on world tour ever since they began dating in November.

Chelsea dated Jeremy Kane back in the year 2000. This is an interesting tidbit, because my roommate, Elliott, also went to Stanford. I'll have to ask him if he knew Jeremy. Chelsea traveled a lot with her Dad at the end of his term. Together, they visited the heads of states in India, Colombia, and several African nations including Nigeria.
